Antidote to danger - part three

Say what you think!

I rarely recall my dreams these days, but I recently woke from a dream where a man asked me to get him something. We were in public and I was heading to an event with a friend. I was focused on getting directions on my phone. When I didn’t immediately respond to the man’s request, he told his nearby crony She's so distracted she can't think straight

I paused and glanced up at him.

I felt a flash of recognition. Not of who he was - but of his ill intent.

Then, I looked him straight in the eye 👁 and said, "Excuse me sir. The way you are talking about me does not engender my desire to help you. Please don’t say what you think about how I think - when you don’t know me.It’s demeaning and disrespectful.” Then I turned and was on my way.

🌟 Wow. That felt good. 🌟

Is there something that you wish you could say to someone? Look them in the eye and let them know what you really think?

You may or may not be able to say it directly but you CAN write it.

The seminal work of sociologist James W Pennebaker proves how beneficial writing is not only for your mental health but also for your physical well being.

Most sincerely,

Gerette
